Architect
The architectural activity of Correa is closely linked to that of his associate Alfonso Milá. Correa is also one of the most influential teachers in the Barcelona School of Architecture, where he taught from 1959 to 1966 and again from 1977 to 1990. His teaching activity reflects his instinctive inclination towards formal perfection, which also characterizes the work of the Correa-Milá studio. The work of this partnership continues the tradition of Coderch, while evincing a desire for renewal. It was through the work of Correa and Milá that the new concepts of Italian design of the 1960s and 1970s reached Spain, an innovation reflected in the Olivetti head office (1968–9) and the restaurant Giardinetto (1974, Barcelona).
